The Basement Company

We make it easy for you to visualize with our 3D computer design as well as a blueprint. The 3D design let's you look at your basement from any angle so you can easily see what the finished product will look like and see how any changes you make might affect your budget so you can make educated decisions before it is too late. We do this by following these simple steps:

The first step is to have your initial consultation with your designer, who will come and take measurements of the space you want to finish. Then you can discuss what you visualize for the space. We will show you other designs we have done and you can take ideas from those, as well as see pictures of some of the finished basements the company has completed. We will also go through the construction process with you, discuss your timeline and show you how the design software works. At that time you will also get information that we will leave with you discussing how our system works, and references you can call before they come back with your bid. A lot of companies will charge you a fee for this design process but at The Basement Company we are in the business of finishing basements, not selling designs.

The second step is the review. It usually takes 2-3 days for us to complete the design and bid process. We will make an appointment with you to come back and show you your design and present the bid. You will get to review your design on a full size blueprint and in 3D and you will also get to review your bid. Remember, unless you make changes to the design or add upgrades not included this price will not change. These bids are good for 30 days. At this time you are free to make any changes and see how it would affect your budget. We will leave our contract with you for your review as well.

The third step is the decision. There is absolutely no pressure from us to make a decision at the review. We encourage you to shop around and compare our product and prices to that of other contractors. We wouldn't be as successful if we didn't encourage you to do that! We are also happy to take you to some of our finished basements so you can see the quality of work first hand!

The final step is the contract. Once you have decided to go with The Basement Company as your professional basement finish contractor, we have a contract that locks in the price, gives the timeline, start date, etc. As soon as the contract is completed the permit is applied for the next business day.
