Remodeling your basement to realize your dream of a living space that is as unique as you are is a very rewarding and exciting experience, but it doesn’t become a reality without a proven process for planning, designing, estimating and executing with flawless craftsmanship. And, the most important member of that process team is YOU!

At The Basement Company we’ll guide you through every step of the basement remodeling process so that it’s not overwhelming or scary, and we’ll use 3D virtual renderings in the design process to help bring your dream space to life and ensure that every detail has been identified and incorporated into your guaranteed price and timeline quote.

1. Explore

The first step in The Basement Company process is a preliminary meeting where we have an opportunity to listen to your vision and wish list for the space. We’ll also take measurements of your basement and maybe even a few photos so that we capture all of the details that we’ll need to start the design process. Throughout that meeting, you’ll be able to speak with an experienced member of our team who understands style, respects your budget, and will introduce you to the various stages of our process and important project considerations that you may want to explore in advance of the design phase of the process.

2. Design

During the design phase of our process, we’ll convert measurements, sketches and photographs of your basement along with your desired features into a 3D virtual rendered concept of what your dream space will look like. Approximately 2 weeks after the initial exploration meeting we’ll send you the 3D rendering and initial blueprint of your custom basement design for your review and feedback. We’ll then invite you to a 1-2 hour working and interactive meeting in our showroom designed to incorporate your feedback, edits, finish choices and other preferences using the 3D software until we’ve arrived at a plan for your basement contains the detail needed to quote costs, timeframes and specifications.

3. Quote

Next, we’ll refine your design and specifications to create a final rendering, blue print, and detailed specifications including of finish selections and/or budgets to provide you with a guaranteed price quote as a key element in the construction contract. Other important information, such as timelines, payment structure and requirements are also included in the construction contract. The final phase of the process will proceed upon signed approval of the contract and receipt of an initial deposit.

4. Build

When it’s time for the Build phase, we’ll meet with you to talk about next steps. From the very first nail, we make every effort to make your basement remodel as pleasant as possible; treating your home as if it was our own and causing as little disruption as we can. Best of all, we’ll complete your project on time and within budget. Once complete, we’re confident that you’ll be as excited about your new dream space as we were to build it for you.
